Nigredo

The dark night of the soul.

The Essence

Nigredo is the phase of total dissolution. Everything you held to be true collapses. This is the dark night of the soul. The death of the old self.

The Lever

When you are in Nigredo, do not fight it. Accept the darkness. It is necessary. Out of the blackness comes the light.
