Calcination
Destruction of the old through fire.
The Essence
Observation: Everything new begins with the end of the old. Logic: Calcination is the process where the ego, old beliefs, and attachments are burned away by the fire of self-reflection. What is not essential becomes ash. This is the most painful, but necessary stage.
The Lever
The Lever: Identify a belief or behavioral pattern that limits you. Question it radically. Let it burn in the fire of truth. What remains when all the unessential is gone?
