12. Standstill

Pi is the energetic counterpart to Tai. Heaven and Earth move away from each other. Contact is lost and there is no exchange. The system is 'frozen'. Communication and cooperation do not work.

StagnationIsolation

Standstill. Bad people are not beneficial to the persistence of the noble one. The great goes, the small comes.

Disconnect

Pi teaches us how to deal with a systemic winter. When the outer channel is closed, the inner channel must be opened.

Operative Resources

Independence from the field. The strength to stand alone and uphold your own values even without outside validation.

System Blocks

External Dependence – The feeling of worthlessness when no applause or success comes from outside.

System-Hacks

Use the standstill.

  • Digital Detox: Consciously withdraw from the noise.
  • Values Audit: What do I really believe when no one is watching?

Image

Heaven and earth do not join together: the image of Standstill. So the noble one retreats to his inner worth so as to evade the difficulties, and avoids public visibility.

Shadow Challenge

Shadow: Panic-Driven Activity – The attempt to force results in a hostile field, or inner resignation and bitterness.

Strategy

Activate 'protection mode'. Withdraw your energy from the outside world and invest it in your inner core. Hibernate strategically. Protect your values from corruption.

The Lines

  • Beginning: Solidarity (Shared Retreat)Pull up reed grass and the turf comes with it. Each after its kind. Persistence brings good fortune and success. Withdrawing into a group of like-minded people protects against isolation.
  • Level 2: Integrity (Loyalty to Values)They tolerate and endure. Fortune for the small man, stagnation for the great one. Do not let yourself be corrupted, even if it puts you at a disadvantage.
  • Level 3: Shame (Realization)They feel ashamed. Insight into how untenable the situation is. A first step toward the turnaround.
  • Level 4: Mission (Turning Point)Whoever acts on the orders of the highest one is without fault. The like-minded enjoy the blessing. The turnaround begins. One can become active again if the intention is right.
  • Level 5: Turnaround (Crisis Management)The stagnation recedes. Good fortune to the great man! 'What if it fails?' And so he ties it to a bundle of mulberry twigs. Cautious but successful consolidation.
  • Conclusion: Breakthrough (Fresh Start)The stagnation is waning. First a standstill, then joy. The blockage breaks open. The way is clear again.
