59. Dispersion

Huan (Dispersion) shows wind over water. It disperses the fog and lets the ice melt. It is the healing of rigidity and separation. Where systems are blocked, Huan brings back the flow. It is time to dissolve rigid egoisms and to focus on a great, shared goal (in the I Ching: 'Crossing the great water'). Resentment may dissipate, misunderstandings clear up. Be generous and let go of the control that is born only of fear. Reconnect with the core of your mission.

DispersionFlow

Dispersion. Success. The king draws near to his temple. It is beneficial to cross the great water. Persistence is beneficial.

Troubleshooting

Huan is the fresh start after rigidity. It brings movement into dead structures.

Operative Resources

Empathy. The ability to break down barriers through understanding and shared visions.

System Blocks

Isolation – When parts of the system stop communicating with one another and work against each other.

System-Hacks

Let it flow.

  • Forgiveness: Today, forgive a small act of carelessness (healing the workflow).
  • Tidying Up: Radically clear up your physical or digital desk (dissolving structures).

Image

The wind roams over the water: the image of Dispersion. So the ancient kings made offerings to the Lord and built temples.

Shadow Challenge

Shadow: Scattering – Losing yourself in chaos or fearing a loss of identity when old boundaries fall.

Strategy

Dissolve blocks through inspiration. Create unity through a clear vision. Use music, art, or spirituality to improve the atmosphere around you.

The Lines

  • Beginning: Rescue (Prevention)He brings help with the might of a horse. Good fortune. Help comes quickly and powerfully. Remedy a disruption before it infects the whole system.
  • Level 2: Support (Stability)Amid the dispersion he runs to his support. Regret vanishes. In uncertain times, look for something to hold on to in proven structures or strong mentors. Reliability is the trump card.
  • Level 3: Transcendence (Devotion)He dissolves his own self. One puts one's ego aside for a higher goal. No regret. True strength through devotion.
  • Level 4: Reform (Expansion)He detaches himself from his band. Exalted good fortune. Out of dispersion comes accumulation. This is something that does not occur to ordinary people. One dissolves old, hardened structures and special interests. From this a new, more powerful whole emerges.
  • Level 5: Relief (Release)His loud cries have a dissolving effect, like sweat. Dispersion! A king dwells without fault. Like a cleansing burst of sweat. The tension is released. The system breathes a sigh of relief. Healing begins.
  • Conclusion: Distance (Exit)He dissolves his blood. Going away, keeping one's distance, going out: this is without fault. One withdraws completely from a danger or a conflict. Good fortune through leaving in time.
