Human Design Ego Authority: When the Heart Decides

What Is Ego Authority in Human Design?
In Human Design, there are seven inner decision-making authorities. Ego Authority (also: Heart Authority or Will Authority) is one of the rarest – only about 1–3% of people have it.
Ego Authority arises when the Heart center (Will center) is the only defined motor authority connected to the throat or G center – without the Sacral or Solar Plexus center acting as authority in between.
The core principle: You decide with the will. What you want – truly want, from your depths – is correct for you.
How Do You Decide with Ego Authority?
Ask yourself: "Do I really WANT this?" (Not: Should I? Must I? Can I?). Listen to the first impulse from the will center. Keep your promises – especially those to yourself. Avoid the yes that is actually a no.
The Greatest Challenge: Will vs. Conditioning
People with Ego Authority have been strongly conditioned to deny their will. Phrases like "Don't be selfish" or "You can't always do what you want" have left deep marks. The problem: Ego Authority must decide from will to stay in balance. Those who chronically act against their will lose energy, motivation and ultimately contact with themselves. Ask Verus, your AI companion in the UmbraLux app, about your Heart Center: he knows whether it is defined in your chart; your authority is shown in your profile.
