The G-Centre in Human Design

The G-Centre is one of the nine energy centres in Human Design and is considered the centre of identity, love and direction. It sits at the centre of the BodyGraph – symbolically and literally. The G-Centre is associated with the concept of the Higher Self: it is the place from which life takes its meaningful course when you live in alignment with your true nature.

Unlike many other centres that generate or process energy, the G-Centre functions as a navigation system. It knows your place in the world – and when you are in resonance with yourself, it shows you the right direction almost intuitively.

Defined G-Centre

People with a defined G-Centre have a consistent, stable identity. They know who they are regardless of where they are or who they are with. Their life direction is clearer, their sense of self more stable. This brings strength but can also mean rigidity – holding too firmly to one`s identity.

Open G-Centre

People with an open G-Centre experience their identity as flexible and impressionable. They absorb others` identities and often wonder: Who am I really? This sounds challenging – but it is also an enormous strength. These people can dive into the deepest essence of others and thereby develop exceptional empathy and wisdom about human types.

The conditioning with an open G-Centre often lies in anchoring one`s identity to external circumstances – the job, the relationship, the location. The invitation is to embrace fluidity and understand identity as a dynamic process, not a fixed state.

The G-Centre and Life Direction

The G-Centre is closely connected to the concept of Incarnation Crosses in Human Design. Your Incarnation Cross forms the overarching theme of your life path. The G-Centre is where this path is felt. Learn more at the Human Design page at UmbraLux.
