The Human Design system maps human energy through the Bodygraph — a diagram of nine energy centers. These centers are connected through Gates and Channels based on the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching.

A Gate is one of 64 energy qualities corresponding to a specific location in the Bodygraph. When two Gates on both ends of a channel are activated — one in the personal chart, one from a planetary source at the time of birth — a Channel is formed. A defined channel means: this energy is consistently available in you and defines a center.
