14. Possession in Great Measure
Da Yu symbolizes the state of maximum resource availability ('possession in great measure'). The sun (Li) stands high in the sky (Qian) and illuminates everything. It is the time of harvest, of influence, and of control over assets. But possession comes with obligations: whoever has much bears responsibility for its distribution.
Possession in Great Measure meets with exalted success.
Asset Management
Da Yu teaches us that true wealth lies in the circulation of energy, not in damming it up.
Operative Resources
Magnanimity. The ability to give from abundance without fear of loss.
System Blocks
Greed – Fear-based clinging to resources out of scarcity thinking, despite outer abundance.
System-Hacks
Activate the flow.
- Giving Impulse: Give something away today (money, things, praise).
- Mentoring: Share your knowledge with someone who is just starting out.
Image
Fire in the sky: the image of Possession in Great Measure. So the noble one holds evil in check, promotes the good and follows the good will of heaven.
Shadow Challenge
Shadow: Arrogance & Materialism – The danger of defining yourself by your possessions or hoarding resources, which leads to systemic stagnation.
Strategy
Practice 'benevolent stewardship'. Use your resources to nourish the system and dispel darkness. Be generous, but strategic.
The Lines
- Beginning: Caution (Protection)No ties to what is harmful. There is no fault in that. If one stays mindful of the difficulty, one remains without fault. In wealth, stay alert to corruption.
- Level 2: Transport (Drive)A large cart to be loaded. You may venture an undertaking. No fault. You have the capacity (bandwidth) to move heavy loads.
- Level 3: Devotion (Willingness to Sacrifice)A prince brings it as an offering to the Son of Heaven. A small man is not capable of this. Share your gains with the community (reinvestment).
- Level 4: Distinction (Setting Boundaries)He draws a distinction between himself and his neighbor. No fault. Keep clear boundaries, even in abundance. No envy.
- Level 5: Dignity (Leadership)He whose truth is approachable is dignified. Good fortune. True authority through authenticity and goodwill, not through coercion.
- Conclusion: Blessing (Maximum Fortune)Blessed by heaven. Good fortune. There is nothing that is not beneficial. The state of maximum systemic support. Everything flows.
