5. Waiting
Xu describes the phase of necessary delay before a great goal. It is not passive idleness, but the conscious gathering of strength and waiting for the optimal moment (timing). The image shows clouds in the sky that promise rain but have not yet released it.
Waiting. If you are truthful, light and success are yours. Persistence brings good fortune. It is beneficial to cross the great water.
Timing Strategy
Xu is the art of energy economy. It teaches us that standing still is often the best preparation for the next sprint.
Operative Resources
Deep inner security and the ability to catch the right moment for the breakthrough with precision.
System Blocks
Compulsive Drive – The inability to pause, which in the long run leads to exhaustion and wrong decisions.
System-Hacks
Optimize your waiting times.
- Media Fast: Use waiting times not for social media but for reflection.
- Nutrient Audit: How is your physical foundation (sleep/nutrition)?
Image
Clouds rise into the sky: the image of Waiting. So the noble one enjoys food and drink and stays cheerful.
Shadow Challenge
Shadow: Impatience & Stress – The danger of losing yourself in nervous busyness or using up your resources prematurely, before the actual test begins.
Strategy
Use the time for regeneration and systemic care. Nourish yourself well (physically and mentally). Keep trusting the process.
The Lines
- Beginning: Distance (Safety)Waiting in the pasture. It is beneficial to remain with what lasts. No fault. No danger as long as one sticks to the familiar. Avoid hasty steps toward expansion.
- Level 2: Communication (Composure)Waiting in the sand. There is talk, but in the end good fortune comes. Stay calm in the face of criticism from outside.
- Level 3: Exposure (Danger)Waiting in the mire draws enemies near. Be watchful. Your position is currently vulnerable because of insufficient preparation.
- Level 4: Test of Character (Resilience)Waiting in blood. Out of the hole! You are in the middle of the crisis. Stay in the flow and trust that you will get out of the danger zone.
- Level 5: Enjoyment (Flow)Waiting over food and drink. Persistence brings good fortune. Use the pause for real recovery. Everything is on course.
- Conclusion: Unexpected Support (Good Fortune)One ends up in the hole. Then three uninvited guests arrive. Show them respect, and good fortune comes in the end. Help often comes from directions you had not planned for.
