What is Chiron in astrology?

Chiron is a minor planet (centaur object) between Saturn and Uranus, discovered in 1977. In astrology it symbolizes the wounded healer — named after the centaur Chiron from Greek mythology, who healed others but could never fully heal his own wound.

In the horoscope Chiron shows where you carry a deep, often unconscious wound — and simultaneously, where you can bring special wisdom and healing to others once you work with that wound. This is the paradox of Chiron: the wound becomes the source of strength.
