23. Splitting Apart

Bo (Splitting Apart) shows a mountain that is crumbling. It is the image of 'stripping away'. Structures that no longer hold up collapse. This is not an accident but a necessary evolution (late autumn). One cannot stop this process, only manage it. It is time for a radical 'clear-out'. Save only the core (the seed); let the shell die.

Letting GoDeconstruction

Splitting Apart. It is not beneficial to go anywhere (standstill).

Essentialism

Bo is the hard lesson of late autumn: only the essential survives. Everything superfluous is stripped away.

Operative Resources

Detachment. The ability to let things go without losing your own identity.

System Blocks

Fear of Loss – The inability to accept the natural cycle of coming into being and passing away.

System-Hacks

Let go.

  • Radical Clear-Out: Get rid of 10 things today.
  • Digital Detox: Delete apps and cancel subscriptions you don't use.

Image

The mountain rests upon the earth: the image of Splitting Apart. So the one above makes those below rich through generosity (securing the foundation).

Shadow Challenge

Shadow: Attachment – Panicked clinging to things/relationships that are already dead. Resistance to the inevitable.

Strategy

Hold still. Don't fight. Don't start anything new. Let collapse what wants to fall. Protect your resources for the fresh start.

The Lines

  • Beginning: Erosion (Instability)The bed is splintered at its feet. The steadfast are destroyed. Misfortune. The foundation is crumbling. Take the warning sign seriously.
  • Level 2: Danger (Threat)The bed is splintered at the edge. The steadfast are destroyed. Misfortune. The danger is drawing closer. One feels threatened.
  • Level 3: The Cut (Necessary Separation)He breaks away. No fault. One separates from the bad/toxic and saves oneself by doing so.
  • Level 4: Collapse (Catastrophe)The bed is splintered right down to the skin. Misfortune. The disaster strikes one personally.
  • Level 5: The Turn (Hope)A school of fish. Favor through the ladies of the court. Everything is beneficial. Unexpected help in times of need. The tide turns.
  • Conclusion: Survival (New Beginning)A large fruit is left uneaten. The noble one receives a wagon; the petty person's house falls apart. The seed survives the winter.
