Enneagram by Birth Date

The Enneagram finds your type through self-observation, often with a questionnaire; it knows no birth date. The UmbraLux app still assigns you a type, as a bridge from numerology: your life path number. The calculator shows this assignment openly, with the type's wings and center.

How the app assigns the type

Three steps:

    The life path number

    Day, month and year reduced on their own, then their sum, as in the life path calculator.

  2. 2

    The assignment

    Life path 1 to 9 gives the same type; the master numbers 11, 22 and 33 give the types 1, 4 and 2.

  3. 3

    Wings and center

    The wings are the type's two neighbours on the circle, the center gut (8, 9, 1), heart (2, 3, 4) or head (5, 6, 7).

Two examples

15 May 1990 has the life path 3: type 3, The Achiever, with the wings 2 and 4 in the heart center.

5 January 1985 has the master number 11: type 1, The Reformer.

How reliable is this assignment?

It is an assignment, not a finding: there is no evidence linking the life path number to the Enneagram type. Whoever wants to know their type observes themselves or takes a test; the app uses the assignment to join numerology and the Enneagram in one profile.

Questions about the Enneagram by birth date

Can the Enneagram type be calculated from the birth date?

Not by the Enneagram's own teaching: it finds the type through the motives and fears you observe in yourself. This calculator only shows which type the UmbraLux app assigns to your life path number.

Why does the master number 22 give type 4?

That is how UmbraLux set it: 11 to the idealist 1, 22 to type 4, 33 to the helper 2.

What are the wings?

The types left and right of yours on the circle. By the teaching one of the two colours your type; which one, self-observation shows.

Is my data stored?

No. The calculation runs in your browser; your date is neither sent nor stored. Only your device remembers your last entry, and you can delete it below the form.
